The Slovak based Brutal Fish Racing Team will join this year TCR EUROPE SERIES with 3 full season entries.
Martin Ryba team principal:
“As we have mentioned at the end of last season, we will expand our team by third customer car. We think that after two seasons in TCR Europe we have enough experiences and a very strong background to successfully run 3 cars. We have managed to prolong our perfect cooperation with Daniel Lloyd. Daniel was a strong competitor last year with 2 wins and another 2 podium finishes. He managed to be a great part of our team and we have benefited from his racing experiences throughout the hole season. We aim for him to be one of the strongest contestants for the tittle this year.”
Daniel: “I’m extremely excited to join the Brutal Fish Racing Team for a second season. last year the deal came together quite late, so to have a plan this early on in the year gives me a huge amount of confidence for the season. I only have one aim this year and thats the championship title, I have the team and car behind me to do it so i’m really looking forward to the challenge!”
Second driver will be the team principal Martin Ryba, who managed to score his first TCR Europe points last season.
Martin:
“I have really enjoyed myself during last season , despite some crashes at Redbull and Monza. I hope I can move forward in the field again a little bit. TCR Europe is a great series with lot of competitive drivers and teams, so I am looking forward to be back on the grid in May.”
The name of the third driver will be announced in several weeks. The team is negotiating with several drivers already since the end of the 2019 season. The goal is to find a young fast driver to help Brutal Fish to gain also the teams tittle.
The cooperation with Honda and JAS continues.
Martin: “I think that we have managed to have a fabulous relationship with JAS Motorsport since the first day we have met.. The car was outstanding the hole season as well as the support from all the people at JAS. We think that Honda will be one of the strongest cars in every TCR series around the world in 2020 with the main goal – fair play.”
The team will start pre season testing in March aiming for the best result in 2020.
The fist TCR EUROPE race will in SPA 1-2 of May 2020.
